WATFORD TOWN V
CHIPPERFIELD CLARENDON
CHESS VALLEY
LEAGUE
An
interesting Sunday. Watford needing a win to be promoted, Mohammed Manzoor
needing 70 runs to reach 1000 for the season. C&C bat first and Najeebullah
Walikheil rips the throat out of the batting with a blistering 4 for 18. All
the others bowlers chipped in with wickets and C&C were skittled for a mere
107.
Manzoor
and Abdallah open the batting for Watford and in just 11 over’s the game was
finished with Abdallah unbeaten on 6 and Mohammed Manzoor unbeaten on 98.
A
comprehensive 10 wicket victory. Manzoor finished the 2010 season scoring 1028
runs, a magnificent total and the first WTCC player to reach this milestone
since 1992.
The
second consecutive promotion for Watford Town in the Chess Valley league, a
commendable effort for Captain Grant Van Quickelberg and his troops.
A great season and lots of exciting and fun cricket
