Mo Manzoor capped a fine season with a typical innings of total domination to reach a personal milestone of 1028 runs for the season. In the final club game of the year he needed 70 runs to break the 1000 barrier and become the first batsman on the club honours board since 1992. Batting second and chasing just 108, it needed intelligent batting from his opening partner Hamisi Abdallah to ensure Manzoor could take the lion's share of the strike. Not that he needed much time at the crease as he once again tortured opening bowlers with an exciting display of controlled aggression and powerful hitting scoring 98 not out in a total of 108-0. Although just 2 runs short of a fourth century for the season, it was a time for smiles, congratulations, and for opposition bowlers in Hertfordshire to breathe a sigh of relief !
