Watford Town Cricket Club is continuing to develop its relationship with the Tanzanian Cricket Association (TCA). As many of you know, the club will be hosting the national squad in early August this coming season and is organising a high level cricket week to assist Tanzania in their preparations for an ICC tournament in Italy that follows their visit to our shores.

The committee has been in discussion with the TCA with a view to taking a tour party out to Tanzania next February, to play up to 6 matches and further extend our support of cricket development in the country. At this stage, we believe that an itinerary will be based around cricket being played in Dar es Salam, the capital and Arusha, close to the Serengeti. We are also looking into the possibility of visiting Zanzibar and Stonetown as this is a world heritage site and unique anywhere in the world. Interested members should budget for a total cost of travel, b&b accommodation and internal transport and connections being around £850  per person.

The proposed dates for the tour are over the weeks of the 14^th and 21^st February; precise dates will be notified once we have firmed up on the length of tour.

It is our intention to make a final decision on the tour by the end of May, at which time we will be seeking £100 deposits from all interested parties to make flight reservations.
